Isee middle school essay prompts

Write 5-paragraphs. Schools teach students to write essays with good organization, and usually that means a standard 5-paragraph essay. In fact, organization is so important to the ISEE, they put the word “organize” in their official instructions (above).

MIDDLE LEVEL TEST 1 MARKING INSTRUCTIONS Use a #2 or HB pencil only on pages 2 and 3.  Use a ballpoint pen for your essay on pages 6 and 7.  Make dark marks that completely fill the circle.  Erase clearly any mark you wish to change.  Make no stray marks on this form.  Do not fold or crease this form. 1 VERBAL REASONING

The ISEE essay prompts are different based on which grade level the student is in: For all three levels, the ISEE essay is a descriptive essay, meaning students must explain their thoughts in response to an open-ended prompt. The prompts gradually increase in difficulty based on the grade level.

Writing must be done either in cursive or print using a ballpoint pen. The writing should be done directly on the lines preprinted in the answer document, using blue or black ink.
